What To Expect

Arrive at Narita or Haneda Airport and Transfer to Kawagoe can be self-arranged, or transportation can be provided upon request. After check–in, free time to explore the nostalgic old streets or visit a local izakaya.

- Day 2|Monday|Kawagoe Cultural Experience Day (Chopstick Making × Kimono × Onsen)
Begin your day with a traditional chopstick-making workshop, where you’ll learn from skilled artisans how to carve, shape, and polish your own pair of chopsticks. This hands-on experience offers a deep appreciation for Japanese craftsmanship and gives you a meaningful souvenir to take home.
Afterwards, Change into a beautiful kimono and take a leisurely stroll through Kawagoe’s iconic Kurazukuri district and the historic Bell Tower area. As you walk along the stone-paved streets lined with Edo-period architecture, enjoy taking photos, exploring local shops, and sampling traditional street snacks while soaking up the charming old-town atmosphere.

Start your exploration at Matsumoto Craft Soy Sauce, a historic brewery whose soy sauce has been crafted using traditional methods for over 250 years since the Edo period. Recognized as an Important Architectural Structure of Kawagoe City, the brewery features rows of wooden barrels that immerse you in the rich aroma of fermenting soy sauce.
Continue to Todoroki-ya Dried Foods Store, where you’ll taste soup stocks made from Japan’s essential umami trio—shiitake mushrooms, bonito flakes, and kelp. Learn the secrets of dashi through interactive flip charts and hands-on guidance in a relaxed, educational setting.
Wrap up your visit with a satisfying bowl of ramen at Ramen Ganja, a beloved local shop that rose to national fame right here in Kawagoe.

- Day 4|Wednesday|Free Day in Tokyo
On your free day, explore the trendy streets of Shibuya, Omotesando, and Daikanyama for a taste of Tokyo’s fashion and design scene, wander through Yanaka Ginza for a nostalgic glimpse of old Tokyo, or head to Roppongi Hills to enjoy contemporary art and stunning city night views.

- Day 5|Thursday|End of Tour – Transfer to Airport or Extend Stay
Today, check out and end the tour. Travelers may proceed to Narita or Haneda Airport independently. JR trains, local rail lines, and airport limousine buses are recommended. If you wish to extend your stay in Tokyo, additional arrangements can be made upon request.

Cancellation policy
You can cancel up to 31 days in advance of the experience for a full refund. Cancellations must be submitted in writing and are subject to the following penalties: 30+ days before departure: No penalty.
- 30-15 days before departure: 25% of the total price.
- 14–8 days before departure: 50% of the total price.
- 7-4 days before departure 75% of the total price.
- 3 days or less before departure: 100% of the total price. If airfare applied, cancellations may incur additional fees and are subject to airline policies.
- Changes to Reservations: Land: Changes to your reservation may incur a $50 administrative fee plus any additional charges. Transfers to a later date or another participant are allowed without penalty if requested 14+ days before departure.
